The Cervantes roundabout stands at the end of the Avenida Pozuelos, at the point where the Galereña tunnel emerges and where the Barretero tunnel enters. From here, you can also access the Panorámica road where we we can take in the spectacular view of the Cerro de la Bufa and the rocky spikes known as Los Picachos.
The roundabout is crowned by a sculpture with the name of “Cervantes” by the Jalisco sculptor Carlos Terrés. It was unveiled in the 1990s and is an outstanding example of contemporary art in this city of Cervantes.
The monument, consisting of a metal understructure overlaid with white, depicts various scenes from Miguel Cervantes’ masterpiece “Don Quixote de la Mancha”.
