Guanajuato en las alturas

Situated in the very heart of Mexico, Guanajuato has a population of approximately 171 thousand inhabitants.

Its earliest name was Mo-o-ti-o, or place of the metals, but later came to be known as Paxtitlán – the place of straw.

Its architecture is dominated to this day by the Spanish colonial style, the whole crisscrossed by a labyrinthine network of tunnels and alleyways that can reach up to kilometers in length that unify this beautiful city.
